I am a UMGC in Europe or UMGC in Asia student. Am I eligible for the Alumni Succeed Again Scholarship?

Government employees and their family members residing within an overseas contracted site in Europe, in Asia, or downrange are eligible for this scholarship opportunity. If you are a Europe student, you are not eligible if starting the first course for a master’s degree offered by UMGC in Europe If you are an Asia student, you are not eligible if starting the first course for a master’s degree offered by UMGC in Asia

You’ve already proven you can succeed while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities. Now, take the next step in your educational journey.

Through the Alumni Succeed Again Scholarship, eligible University of Maryland Global Campus alumni can earn up to $2,000 when they start the first course in any UMGC stateside master's degree program��ٷɱ�� January 6, 2027 and March 10, 2027.��

Eligibility Requirements & How to Apply

To be considered for the Alumni Succeed Again Scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Earn a degree (associate, bachelor's, or master's) or certificate from UMGC, conferred prior to January 1, 2027, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Meet the admissions requirements of UMGC

Start your first course in a stateside master's degree program between January 6, 2027 and March 10, 2027 (graduate certificates and doctoral programs are excluded)

Government employees and their family members residing within an overseas contracted site in Europe, Asia, or downrange are eligible

If you receive this scholarship, you must meet UMGC's requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress to maintain your eligibility, including maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0

Scholarship Details

The Alumni Succeed Again Scholarship cannot be combined with any UMGC tuition discount.��Students paying the Military Tuition rate are not eligible. The scholarship applies to tuition and fees only and is non-refundable, even if tuition and fees are paid by other non-refundable funding sources. UMGC employees are not eligible.��

The scholarship will be disbursed in one increment, and your award amount is dependent upon your transfer credits and course load. The total amount of this scholarship of up to $2,000 will be distributed in the following increment:

Up to a $2,000 award will be distributed in the term after you earn your 21st credit.

You must be enrolled in order for scholarship funding to be disbursed to your account.
